The Art
of Piano
Where creativity meets technique. Patricia Teoh's studio nurtures the artist within every young musician.
"Music is the language of the soul. I help children speak it fluently."
Teaching Piano
Is My Craft
Every child has music within them. My role is to help them discover it, nurture it, and express it through the piano.
With over 15 years of experience, I've developed a unique approach that blends traditional technique with creative exploration. My students don't just learn to play—they learn to create.

"Music is not just
learned—
it's experienced."
Joy First
When children enjoy their lessons, they practice more. When they practice more, they improve faster. I design every lesson to spark joy and curiosity.
Individual Pace
No two children learn the same way. I adapt my teaching style, pace, and repertoire to match each student's unique needs and interests.
Creative Expression
Technical skill without musicality is incomplete. I encourage students to express themselves through music, not just replicate what they hear.
Lifelong Skills
Beyond piano, students develop discipline, patience, and perseverance. These skills serve them well in every aspect of life.
Questions answered.
What ages do you teach?
I specialize in teaching children ages 4-12. This is a wonderful window when musical foundations are most naturally absorbed through play and exploration.
How long are the lessons?
Lessons are 30 minutes for beginners (ages 4-6) and 45 minutes for intermediate students (ages 7+). This duration keeps young learners engaged without fatigue.
Do you follow a curriculum?
Yes! I prepare students for Trinity College London and ABRSM examinations, but always with joy as the priority. Exams are optional milestones, not the main goal.
What if my child is a beginner?
Perfect! Complete beginners are my specialty. We start with games, songs, and exploration before formal notation.
How do I know if my child is ready?
If they show curiosity about music, can sit still for 10-15 minutes, and follow simple instructions, they're ready!
Do you offer online lessons?
Yes, I offer both in-studio and online lessons via Zoom. Online works surprisingly well for young learners.
